Description
The NTAG 424 DNA TT (NT4H2421Tx) sets a new standard for secure NFC and IoT applications by introducing a next-generation NTAG DNA chip with state-of-the-art features for security, status detection, and privacy protection. It features AES-128 encryption and a new Secure Unique NFC Message (SUN) function to generate unique data authentication every time it is read by an NFC-enabled mobile device. This provides state-of-the-art product protection in terms of authenticity and integrity, while delivering a real-time, secure, and exclusive user experience based on the product’s status.

The NTAG 424 DNA TT is fully compliant with the NFC Forum Type 4 Tag Specification (Certification ID: 58569)
It utilizes the ISO/IEC 14443-4 contactless short-range protocol and a file system and command frames based on ISO/IEC 17716-4 to ensure maximum interoperability within NFC infrastructure. Its NFC performance supports excellent user interaction and an operating distance of up to 10 centimeters.
AES-128 encryption; the tag generates a unique NFC authentication message (SUN) when tapped.
An NFC-enabled mobile device reads this tap-unique URL containing the SUN authentication message, sends it to the host, where the tag and message are authenticated, and returns the verification result. The SUN authentication mechanism works on Android without a dedicated app and requires an app starting with iOS 11. Thus, the NTAG 424 DNA TT provides tag authentication along with data assurance regarding authenticity, integrity, and even confidentiality, while also verifying the physical presence of the tag.
The NTAG 424 DNA TT features intelligent state awareness, enabling it to detect the status of tampering loops.
Users can immediately detect the activated state simply by reading the tag with an NFC-enabled device. The chip irreversibly stores this event and mirrors it into an NDEF message upon startup.
