The NTAG 424 DNA TT (NT4H2421Tx) sets a new standard in secure NFC and IoT applications by introducing a next-generation NTAG DNA chip with cutting-edge features for security, status detection, and privacy protection. It features AES-128 encryption operations and a new Secure Unique NFC (SUN) function, generating unique data authentication each time it is read by an NFC-enabled mobile device. This enables the product to achieve state-of-the-art protection capabilities in terms of product authenticity and integrity, while delivering a real-time secure exclusive user experience based on product status.

The NTAG 424 DNA TT fully complies with the NFC Forum Type 4 Tag Specification (Certification ID: 58569)
Adopting the contactless short-range protocol of ISO/IEC 14443-4 and the file system and command frame based on ISO/IEC 7816-4 ensures maximum interoperability within NFC infrastructure. Its NFC performance supports excellent user interaction and an operational range of up to 10 centimeters.
AES-128 encryption generates a unique NFC authentication message (SUN) when the tag is tapped.
The NFC mobile device reads the unique URL with SUN-certified messages from this tap, sends it to the host, where tag and message authentication are performed, and returns the verification result. The SUN authentication mechanism works on Android without requiring a dedicated application and has been available on iOS since version 11. Thus, the NTAG 424 DNA TT provides tag authentication along with data guarantees regarding authenticity, integrity, and even confidentiality, while also ensuring the physical presence of the tag.
The NTAG 424 DNA TT features intelligent state sensing capabilities, enabling detection of tamper loop status
Users can immediately detect the activated status by simply enabling the device to read the tag via NFC. The chip will irreversibly store this event and mirror it into the NDEF message upon startup.
